Dapper Little Lad

I had so much fun making this little outfit for my little boy to be. I finished his little jacket this evening and can't wait to see it on him! I used the Oliver + S Sunday Brunch Jacket pattern with a wales cord but made a few little changes to it to make for a boy instead of a girl.
I made the yoke and "skirt" of the jacket one piece and took the ruffle out of it to give it a male look.
This is to be a special outfit for little C so I made a bias tape and used it on all the inside seams for a lovely finish on the inside. I used the same yellow color as his little After School shirt.
My favorite part is the teeny size of this outfit! It makes it so cute. :)

All this outfit needs is a news boys hat to finish it... and maybe a baby too. ;)

Happy Sewing!

  1. That's genius! Great modifications to make the Sunday Brunch jacket appropriate for a boy. I'll have to keep this in mind if I have a boy!
