Deer and Doe is having a sew-along over on their blog right now for their new dress, Centauree' dress. I love how simple this dress is but yet it has so many great details to it as well. Perfect for a sun dress for me!
Pardon the pictures, my kids took them, but the bodice has a "star" shape to it, ever so clever f these gals! Now on my dress I had to make FBA (full bust adjustment) to it. After having five babies these girls will not fit in most pattern tops. While the task seemed daunting Deer and Doe takes you through all the steps to make the adjustments. I was worried there for a few minutes that it might not work as well as it should but I held my breath a worked through each step slowly. It was totally worth it, the dress fits like a glove now! I really want to try another one in lawn or voile now. This one is in a quilting cotton I have held onto for a few years form Riley Blake. I love the yellow and gray together so much and with the weight of the fabric it does not blow up as easy so it great to wear to the park with the kids.
If you don't have this pattern I highly recommend it! It sews up very quick and has such wonderful results. I truly love the bodice of this dress and the straps, it's a perfect summer dress.
